Tot Shabbat

One Friday every month at 5:30 with PJ Library

Once a month the youngest members gather to celebrate their own service. We teach them about Shabbat and they teach us about celebrating. This brief service has no age limit so toddlers are asked to bring their parents and older siblings are welcome! There is lots of jumping, fun, and cookies and juice following the service.

Ruach Services

See the calendar for dates

This upbeat, one-hour service is sponsored by our Beit Midrash (Religious school). Ruach is the Hebrew word for spirit, and this service is spirited! Be prepared for singing and dancing. We conclude with a “make your own ice cream sundae” with every topping imaginable. This service is especially delightful for the young and young at heart.

Shabbat Morning Services

Please check the calendar schedule

Shabbat Morning Services often include the sweet simcha (joyous celebration) of a Bar or Bat Mitzvah. This service includes chanting of the Torah at its heart. We sing the story of our people and wrestle with what it might mean to us in the contemporary moment. There is an oneg (time of delight) with wine, challah, and goodies afterwards.

Building connections in the Reform Jewish movement
Roberta Member since 2009 “We have enjoyed many holidays and simchas with our Beth Chaim Community. But when a serious health crisis rocked us, our Beth Chaim family was there to support us in every way. The love and generous care we received from our extended BCC community helped us through one of the most difficult times in our lives.”

Kelly Member since 2004 “We thought we were joining a temple, a congregation, a place of worship. However, Beth Chaim has been so much more than that. It's not just a Jewish community, it’s an extended family, one with whom we have shared many a celebration but also times of great sorrow. No matter which, the members of have been a source of great joy, comfort, and friendship.”
