Tot Shabbat: One Friday Every Month at 5:30 pm with PJ Library
Once a month the youngest members of our congregation gather together to celebrate Shabbat in their own special service. We teach them about Shabbat and they teach us about celebrating. This brief service has no age limit so all the toddlers are asked to bring their parents. Older siblings are invited as well but they will have to try to remember how to be as joyful as their younger brothers and sisters. There is lots of jumping up and down, way too much fun and cookies and juice for good measure at the end.
Regular Services: Every Friday at 7:15 pm - Currently Livestreaming on Facebook and YouTube
We gather together to welcome Shabbat with warmth and joy. This service runs a little over an hour and is filled with singing, meditation, and spiritual insights. Everyone is welcome and we conclude with a time for shmoozing (talking and reconnecting) and noshing (wine, dessert, fruit and coffee).
Shabbat Morning Services: Most Saturdays at 11:00 am via Zoom (please make sure to check the schedule)
Shabbat Morning Services often include the sweet simcha (joyous celebration) of a Bar or Bat Mitzvah. While much like our Friday Evening celebration, this service includes chanting of the Torah at its heart. We sing out the story of our people and wrestle with what it might mean to us in the contemporary moment. There is an oneg (time of delight) with wine, challah and goodies afterwards.
Ruach Services: See the Calendar for Dates
This upbeat, one-hour service is sonsored by our Beit Midrash (Religious School). Ruach is the Hebrew word for spirit, and this service is spirited. Be prepared for some wonderfully engaging singing and even dancing. We conclude the service with a special "make your own ice cream sundae" with every topping imaginable. While all of our services are family-friendly, this monthly service is especially delightful for the young and young at heart.
